Serving Jesus since 1840
In 1840,we started meeting in a home then began breaking ground to build a church for our members. As our numbers grew, we had to build a horse and buggy shed out back. From humble beginnings, our church grew over the years and we are blessed to be able to serve the same community where we started.
We are doing a lot of renovation throughout the building, so please bear with us as we proceed forward repairing God's house.
Our mission is to share God’s love in the community. Some of the ways we accomplish that are:
Worship Service. Every Sunday at 11am, including children’s story and activities.
Thanksgiving Meal Ministry. Serving hot meals to over 500 people every year.
Community outreach. Games and crafts for kids during annual community events.
Partnerships. We work with and host a number of organizations in our building and gathering space.
New member’s classes.

Letitia “Tish” Mayo came to the First Presbyterian Church of Glenolden in June, 2019, just to fill in when the last Pastor had to retire due to illness. It was “kind of a God thing” ….
